From 11/2010-11/2011 was employed as a PA by Peter Antoniou. During this time he bounced over $18,000 of my checks alone;the clinic also had 7 other women who also had bounced their checks.Mr Anoniou "closed" the office Nov 30, after yet again bouncing all of our checks (for the prior 2 weeks) when we approached him and demanded our money he claimed he did not have any money. We found out shortly thereafter he went on vacation with his girlfriend to the Poconos with our paychecks. It does not stop here, Mr Antoniou issued pay stubs from11/10-2/11 (thereafter it was a check with a separate piece of paper with ours and deductions for 24% of our gross salary, he promised detailed pay studs every pay period) in those stubs he deducted SSI, Federal ,State and City Taxes, Unemployment etc. However, when we attempted to file for unemployment Mr Antoniou had never paid any due fees; we next called Social Security none of us had paid into SSI worked for the past year!It is now 3/7 we still have not received W2 forms(I have made numerous calls, as have members of the staff, each time we receive another lie,"its coming next week,I'm waiting forPayChex to send them etc."Since Mr Antoniou closed the office,we have not been able to retrieve our belongings;our clinic is in Spanish Harlem,our patients are chronically ill and they require ongoing medical care,our patients have not been able to retrieve their charts and not been able to have continuation of care.
Mr Antoniou,though having no medical knowledge at all, would force the Medical Assistants to use a certain lab who gave Mr Antoniou "regular kickbacks" even though that meant I and the patients had to wait an extra week to 10 days for results.
Personally, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer a few months back, when I showed up for my first treatment I was denied because Mr Antoniou"s check had bounced.
