In early February I filled in an application from this company. When I heard their charges: I decided not to proceed. Yet the still debitted my acount as soon as funds were available. I have tried to claim a refund, but found their on-line form impossible to complete and one number missing from their phone number.

As a point of interest: In the 1953 case of 'Pharmaceuticals Society of Great Britain V. Boots Cash Chemists' it was ruled that the price on an item was an invitation; not an offer. For a contract to exist the has to be an offer and an acceptance.

Obviously, to my mind; filling out an aplication form is accepting an invitation to view the companies services. When they then contact me and quote their fees; then that's an offer. My authorisation to take payment is the acceptance. I believe that giving my details is not authorisation, because no offer had been made until after the form was complete.
