I am selling My pickup truck. The buyer said he sent the purchase price plus $1000 usd the paypal to cover money i was to send for an agent to pick up the vehicle for him. The problem is there is no Pay Pal record and no funds were transfered. I contacted Pay Pal and they said that they would not hold the money unless there was a pending transfer. I checked my Pay Pal account several times and talked to Pay Pal many times and this is a hoax! The buyer wanted me to send $1000 usd via Western Union to the so called agent and then forward the X-fer info to a link on the fake Pay Pal e-mail sent to me then the money would be released to my account. The e-mails from the buyer were from Pay Pal and looked official. Pay pal advised me that anything comming from them comes from [email protected] so if it is not from [email protected] it is a fake e-mail and dont click on any links! I did not send any money nor did I click on anything and I wanted to put the word out to prevent anyone from getting caught by this scam. I am currently working with the police, Pay Pal and Craigs list to stop this guy from hitting anyone else like this. Remember if it seems too perfect then it is proably is fake. Be careful!
