I got a call from my granddaughter (Not saying Grandma Joy), who lives in Fresno CA, saying she was at the U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru, where she supposedly took a trip with a friend. We talked for quite a while and then she brought up her problem of being picked up and was at the Embassy waiting for her court appearance. She needed the money before court. Of course, after three hours, I sent the $2,100 by Western Union where they needed a code to pick it up. They never called back and I called and retrieved my money several hours later. My granddaughter was working in Fresno, CA at the time they called. Now she has to figure out who knew her and myself as I live in Colorado.
