A man claiming to be Deputy Oliver Robinson from Rosedale, WV called from phone number 681-220-0196 asking for the pastor of church and said that a black family was in trouble because they were being threatened by racially prejudiced people in that area. The family in trouble was named Johnson and had given him the church's name and number because they had visited there and had no church home. Mr. "Johnson" said that he, his, wife, and two daughters were being threatened and were very scared. They had to get their car repaired to get out of the area from where they had it towed. Once the repairs were complete the mechanic's wife insisted on more money. They were asking for money to be wired to Gary Lewis of 2036 Myrtle St. Ashland, VA 23118. They said his phone number was 804-233-4276, which is the number for Garment Of Praise Deliverance in Richmond, VA. Both the fake officer and the man in distress were very insistent on not allowing the pastor to get off the phone for any reason. This is a scam. They asked for money but did not get it.
