On their home page it mentions "free registration" in 3 different places. Tried registering but it wouldn't take it without entering credit card info. I read the FAQ and How It Works but didn't see nothing about $99 being charged. Entered all the info, looked at the items being bid on, didn't see anything I wanted and then checked my credit card just to be sure all was ok. It was not as I discovered a $99 charge from bidrack.com. I contacted customer support and finally talked to someone after being disconnected twice. The lady said I would have to correspond via email for asking about getting back my $99. She said the policy was no refunds. I complained to her about the misleading "free registration" and she said the site should allow me to register for "free". It didn't. I've contacted their customer support via email and here is exactly what they said:

"Allow me to clarify, you signed up for a "Free Account" after the application process was finished you were directed to a page to enter your credit card details and select a bid package of your choosing. If you did not want to purchase bids, rather browse our inventory then filling in your credit card details would have not been necessary. Unfortunately since you did in fact opt to buy the bids we are unable to refund you based on our terms and conditions."

I followed up with another email disputing what they said about their site allowing the free registration and informed them I've filed a complaint with the BBB. I also contacted my credit card company and what a surprise.......they knew all about bidrack.com and said I'll be lucky if the $99 is all I get charged. So far the charge is in temp status. One way or another, I'll fight this to the end to recover my $99.

  • Well, me too, but I got charged for $75. If they are professional company, they would let us know in front whether we are agree to pay for this much in order to start bidding, for example: they should have some offered packages stating this is how much to get this much bids or something like that. And it should be a very beginning before we start bidding too. I mean it feel like a ripped off because Ebay is not going to charge you a cent to bid until you win the bidding item, then you just pay for that amount of what you have won. So how the heck, it was free and then a minute later, it charged me for that much of amount and everybody was unaware of it, until I check my bank account. Well, I am going to fight for it as well, and luckily, I have only click on a few items and have not won anything yet. I have only stayed on it for about 2 minutes. Yes, a 2 minute that cost me $75 for nothing, but a few clicks. To be honest if I knew it from the beginning, I wouldn't ever take a look at it, but somehow I didn't. Well, I just submitted the Refund Request and wait to see within the next 24 hours if they are going to grant that request and give me the full amount of refund, otherwise, I am going to contact my bank and report about it. If they are a trustworthy and professional company, they would give the consumers the choices to purchase the bid packages before charging them, and let the consumers decide whether or not, they would like to purchase the bid packages. Also, when I just first signup or register, they have not sent the confirmation email like any other websites did, when I first registered. To me, it looks like a SCAM.

  • Same here, David. I'm fighting this too! The registration page is extremely busy and very deceptive. I thought I was registering for a FREE signon. I thought I was entering my credit card number for LATER purchases. They charged me $99 for some "bid package". I called them immediately and the girl on the phone would only repeat that they have a strict no-refund policy. I insisted to talk with someone else. She said there was no one else I could talk to and that she was the highest person there. Total BS!!! She eventually hung up on me after my repeated requests to speak to someone else. I called my credit card company and they said I have to wait until the charge posts to my account and then I can begin the dispute process. I went back to create another bogus signon to see if I got a different registration screen and I did! It was a little more clear. However, the one that I initially navigated to somehow or another was designed to be confusing. Of course I can't get back to it now. I also did NOT get any e-mail with a confirmation, acknowledgement, or receipt. Businesses that function like this are NO GOOD!!!! Stay away from them!

The address I found for the company is:
BidRack Inc., 2711 Centerville Road, Suite 400, Wilmington, DE
