my daughter was contacted by ~Edge Model Management to go to london at alt and ego to have some photos shoot for edge model management to see how well her photo shoot. they told us that they would pick up the bill. My husband payed out £150 for the train down to london. the day before we left I looked on the the web Edge Model management and found a pop up with scam written on it. I read the pop up, and thought may be it wasn't right. On the date above we went down. and found out all that was said was true. they where very roude, we listened to a conversation with a model who had been working for 5 years they told her that her photos where rubbish, she ended up walking out. we went in, I had a ope mind but at the back of it I was thinking about wot had been said on the internet, they told us that we would have to pay for the photos and that they could get my daughter signed up with storm or another big agesty like storm in two weeks, I asked if I got my lawer to write up a contract would they sign it, they said NO. so why say this if they couldn't do it. As for storm I have been on their web page and they have nothing to do with these firms. we walked out as they wanted us to buy a packege for £800 or more. we where told to go there and all would be payed for us by Edge Model Management, which is fauls.

With regards to the above complaint.
I urge the author to show us the public the e mail where we said we would pay for her and her daughter to travel to London? I also urge the author to show the mail where we claim we will purchase the models portfolio.
The fact is this lady brought her daughter Lucinda Harris for a free assessment. Lucinda Harris as a stunning face and will work but unfortunately her images are very poor. I do believe Lucinda Harris as in the past been scammed for a portfolio hence the mothers anger. However it is unfair to name our agency when we are not the company who scammed her daughter for the poor portfolio. she currently as.
If she attends an assessment and is given constructive criticism then maybe this is not the industry for her. Before I posted this comment I called the mother of this young lady on 3 occasions , spoke with the very reasonable Mr Harris until I was eventually passed back to the mother who accused me of being a computer and not real.
For the record our agency will not pay travel expenses for models to attend the free assessment and neither do we charge any up front fees .so I am totally confused with this attack. However I am sure the mother feels she as some sort of revenge and is very pleased with her attack.

To set the record straight edge model management would like to point out some facts.
1. Edge model management charge no up front fees what so ever.
2. If you are a model with real published work then we will have no need to assess you. When I say real published work, I mean work that as actually been published and not portfolio work.
3. Edge model management as no connection to any other agency including edge agency who have now gone out of business. We do however run the face of club land model competition see www.faceofclubland.com
4. If a model applies to join our agency then they must be able to work in and around London. 90% of our work is London based.
5. All models without published work will need to attend a free assessment in London prior to our agency accepting them.
6. We will not pay travel expenses for models to attend the assessment.
7. Being invited to the assessment does not mean we have accepted you onto our agency books. It means we like your look and now need to assess you on a number of things including what category that best suits you in our industry.
8. Please do not attend the assessment if you can not take constructive criticism or even rejection.
Finally guys please do NOT let the above deter you from applying to join our agency. We currently get 40 to 50 paid model jobs coming into our agency weekly. If we do accept you then you can be sure that you are being accepted by the UK,s fastest growing commercial model agency.
