I was shopping online looking for a Ghetto Blaster for my son, and as I was looking, I came upon Sears.com. Thinking I was in luck, the website said they had some in stock.

Since I am not an experienced online shopper, nor comfortable, I chose to go to Sears, located in Northpark Mall this same day.

While I was looking around in the electronic department, a sales consultent helped and told me that they didn't have any Ghetto Blasters in stock, but she would be happy to order one for me online.

As we were searching online, she was having difficulty, and decided to call the store manager. He then helped me with purchasing our desired Ghetto Blaster.

I ended up purchasing a Top Quality Lasonic 193X Ghetto Blaster, with an iPod/iPhone dock;it was black, and made by the Lasonic. This purchase was sold to me and my family by the company Baby Care.

The salesman informed me that if I had any problems with my purchase, I could always return it to Sears. By doing so, I would have to send it directly back to it's manufacturer.

I found that reasonable, so I agreed with him. Being an inexperienced shopper, I assumed everything would be taken care of, not even thinking there would be any complications.

I receieved the Ghetto Blaster and wrapped it up for Christmas for my son to open. I was happy, knowing I had purchased the thing my son wanted the most for Christmas. When he opened the Ghetto Blaster on Christmas morning, we discovered that it doesn't work! The power button was defective;you could tell by just looking at it!

Disappointed, we took it to the nearest UPS store on Tuesday, Decemeber 27, 2011 and had it shipped back to the return address we were told to send it to if there were any problems. I listed the address below:

Lasonic Electronics Corp
15759 Tapia St.
Irwrindale, CA 91706

The shipping costed us $50.00, making the total purchase $177.00.

We never heard anything back, so we tried contacting the company for 3 weeks. Finally, I spoke with someone from Lasonic Electronics Corp. Insulting me over the phone, the man who i spoke with told me they played the Ghetto Blaster themselves, and that their was nothing wrong. I argued, saying that yes there was a problem. If there wasn't, I wouldn't of sent it back in the first place. Also, I asked if they would please send me a new one for my son. He replied, saying that their policy only could do that if we had contacted them first, before making our purchase, and that they could not send it back directly. He was very rude with me, but I politely asked him to please send me a new one. The next thing he told me was I had to pay for shipping if I wanted a new one, but i had already paid the $50.00 to send it back, now I had to pay again?

Fed up, I sent him a copy of my debit card. He e-mailed me a form that would allow them, with my consent, to use my card to charge for shipping. The cost was $25.97.

I received the new Ghetto Blaster about 2 weeks later;it was the same exact one I had sent back to them weeks before! Along with the defective power button, now the plate that covers the batteries was missing!!

I immediately called the company, and talked to the same man who I had conflicts with earlier. Over the phone, he argues with me, saying that it is against their, "policy" to give me a new system. Although, he did offer to e-mail me a shipping label to return the Ghetto Blaster. I did, sending it back through UPS again on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 5:55 P.M.

I still have not receieved it back, and today is February 19, 2012.

Whenever I call the company, I would just be put on hold or simply disconnect me. Being persistant and patient with them, finally I was able to speak with someone. I spoke to a sales associate named James. He was much more professional and reasonable with me. He told me they unfortunately couldn't do anything, but I need to contact Baby Care.

I did what he told me to do, and I contacted a woman named Imran Jooma, the Senior Vice President of Sears. She responded to my e-mail, telling me she was very sorry for what happened, but there was nothing she could do. She said she would research Baby Care, and give us any information available. She said it would take 2-3 business days. Speaking with her took place on February 6, 2012 and we still have not heard anything back.
