It is difficult to accurately state how much I lost through internet "theft" which I feel is what happened to me. I do know that $99.00 was double-charged to my account for (1) one bid package that did in fact cost 99.00. However, I also had "won" and paid for the completed auctions with monies totalling $126.00. One of the items I did receive. The other item(s) never arrived and when I made contacts with the company I was told they had been shipped, then after not receiving it 22 days later, I contacted them via email and was told they had been shipped again. I never did receive them. I went back to the site to see if there would be any follow-up information on my account and to try to open a chat session with customer support. The chat box disappeared as soon as I hit "submit" on my inquiry. I could find no telephone number to speak to an agent for the company "live". The site has removed ALL auction items in every category including but not limited to: Electronics, gift cards, computers, televisions and even "bid voucher" auctions. The ONLY auctions currently running are under the "fashion and accessories and are items that I wouldn't pay 2.00 for in a retail store, much purchase bid packages to waste on them. Seriously...items like cloth webbed and sports headbands....lipstick, that sort of thing. They have a "dealwheel" that awards free bids. I hit the deal wheel and got a message that it was under maintenance. I selected to purchase bids and got the same message. It is very CLEAR this company has the only remaining items in a local warehouse and they are trying to liquidate it before filing BANKRUPTCY! From seeing the hundreds of complaints about them I am sure they realize there is about to be a class action lawsuit. The definite THEFT of money from me by them is the double-charging of my bank account on one bid package. Dealfun finally sent me a message regarding the item that I never received and said that they had stopped using the vendor for that item because they were negligent in supplying the product. In this correspondence they told me that for my trouble they were awarding me bids (to bid on JUNK?) and that they were returning my purchase price for the item I did win but never received. (I never got the refund that I spent on that item.) Two days ago I went again to the site and tried to initiate a chat and immediately got a message saying my account did not exist!!! it certainly existed for them to swindle me out of my money!
I had relayed my mistrust of them in a much earlier correspondence because they were advertising on their "home" page "Won Auctions" - by showing the item, how much it went for and who won it and where that person was from. I printed out a "Screen shot" of this and sent it to them telling them that it was FALSE advertising because the "winning auction" was won by a person that lives in Alabama. I also live in Alabama. They messed up though. They posted a "timestamp" of when the auction was won which was FIVE HOURS before the time actually arrived. I don't think the earth rotates faster just for Dealfun.com. For that reason, I am very suspicious about the legitimacy of their entire bidding platform. If they are so dishonest in all other regards...what prevented them from developing "bots" to shill bid (which as we all know is ILLEGAL) against paying participants to run up the price of the auciton - or in our cases, to run out your bids so you will buy more bid packages. They made a KILLING off of this site. My husband and I added up how much money they made off of one higher end electronics and it was unbelievable. I can't remember the exact amount but we recorded the number of people that participated x a MINIMUM bid package to participate, + the cost of one bid and it was like 18,000 was what DEALFUN got for a TV that had a retail value of 1900.00. This company deserves to be PUNISHED. Its users deserve to have FULL refunds of EVERY DIME paid to them whether they received an item or not because I am quite certain each paying member had more money stolen from them than taken in a legitimate transaction or used in a ligitimate "fair" (No-Shill) auction.
