I was checking my debit card account, when i notice a debit of £65.99 that i wasn't expecting. I contacted my bank and they advised that it was a scam and i should contact the company to get a refund. If this didn't help my bank would investigate and look into fraud charges?
I then googled the name and found the scambook information. I phoned the company and after providing some information about myself, ie email address, amount debited i was informed that my "account" would be closed and i would receive a refund. After asking how long this would take, i was informed that it would take between 7-10 days.
They would send my an email to confirm.
I received this email today Saturday 11th Feb informing me that a refund had been released immediately and funds should be posted back to my account within 3-7 business days, depending on how fast my bank works.
I would like to thank scambook for the information provided ie the phone number.
I await my refund, and will let you all know what happens.
