I have been on this singles site for almost three months. Within the past two weeks I have been getting messages from men that appear on the site, with photos, and after a week or less then they have some emergency and ask for money. Of course I do not send it and question who they really are, then the messages stop.
This last one really upset me as they put pictures of a military man, in uniform and who had a small son in school in Africa with a freind as he had no one to care for him in the states as the mother ran off with another man when the son was very young. After only a few days I got a message that the son was sick and could I send money to the caregiver.
I have talked to my sister who was also on this site a couple of years ago and she said her and her friend got the same type of messages.
It appears there is a "ring" of people, I believe to be out of the country, putting these profiles on Senior People Meet, and when they hit someone who is willing to message back they start the whole scam game with them. It appears to be single women in their 50's and 60's.
I don't know what you can do but I think someone and every woman out there should be aware of these people.
Please help to stop this kind of scamming!
