I brought my automobile, a black lincoln ls 2001 to have transmission work done. The auto shop stated was suppose to inspect the vehicle and provide a written estimate of work. This was never provided and I was contacted by the mechanic by cellular phone stating they started the work but the transmission provided by me was the wrong part. Further more I must now pay them for their labor in order to have my car released. They with held my property and decided to incur storage fee's and later changed their story saying I abandoned my vehicle and they never did any repairs.

I attempted to collect my property with other associates and a tow service provided by at&t road side assistance on November 17th 2011 and December 2nd 2011.

They later mailed me a letter saying they have a lien on my vehicle and they will sell it.

This document is the first receipt I have gotten in reference to my vehicle. It was from company MID- Florida Lien and Recovery. This was entitled "NOTICE OF SALE" stated they will sell my car in a public auction on January 16th 2012 to satisfy a lien with an auto shop Grease Lightening Inc. Address: 625 Delhi Street, Orlando FL 32808.

The car was never sold.

I contacted the tag agency to verify this lien and as to when it was in effect as I never received any documents about it. However, the Tag agency conveyed there was no existing lien on my property.

To my understanding this "Lien Recovery" company is working closely with this auto-shop Grease Lightening Inc. and using these letters as scare tactics while producing false documents that would make the consumer feel their car will be sold if they dispute any repair charges.

I would like this company to be investigated as they are providing individuals with false documents to miss inform the consumer.
