I SOLD A LAWN MOWER,AND A BOAT TO THEM AND THEY GIVE ME A BUISNESS CHECK THROUGH FED EX AND ON BANK OF AMERICA AND I GO TO CASH IT AT BANK OF AMERICA AND IT WAS A FAKE CHECK AND I TALK TO THE COMPANY AND THEY GIVE ME THE RUN AROUND AND TOLD ME THAT THEIR COMPANY HAD BEEN FRAUDED AND I WAS PRETTY MUCH TAKEN

In response to the posting made by “Paul” on January 30, 2012, Velocity Futures, LLC (“Velocity”) denies any wrongdoing in this matter. From information gathered by Velocity, about this alleged incident, it is apparent that person(s) unknown to Velocity may have passed a fraudulent check to the person identifying as “Paul” using Velocity’s bank account information. Velocity did not send or write the poster (“Paul”) a check and had no reason to do so—having conducted no business whatsoever with this “Paul.” Velocity informed a person, whom it believes to be “Paul,” as such when the person believed to be “Paul” contacted the firm inquiring about the check. The person believed to be “Paul,” who lives in a different state from where Velocity is located, stated that he sold a boat to two people, who then printed a check and gave it to him. Velocity has never purchased a boat from anyone. Further, Velocity does not know whether the person believed to be “Paul” sought proper identification from the persons allegedly giving him the check prior to tendering the alleged boat, or whether he called the bank that the check was allegedly drawn on to confirm funds. We assume not.
In any case Velocity believes the facts show that the posting is inaccurate. The poster’s insinuations and accusations against Velocity are untrue and are wholly denied.
