I bought my Mitsubishi WD-73733 HDTV in 2007, thinking it was a top quality product (for 3000+ it should be) and would last at least 10 years (my previous Mitsubishi CRT TV lasted 15 years). About 45 days ago a white spot appeared on my screen; a week later there were half a dozen spots. Today here are at least 100, both white and black. A quick search shows these white spots are a common result of the DLP chip failing. This is a known problem and a result of a poor product design or defect. Mitsubishi should institute a recall on this product rather than try to pretend there is no problem.
