9.99 charged to my att wireless bill for "Text Alerts Now". Set up as a monthly subscription. Texted "STOP" to the short code on the bill and noticed that they had sent me 4 texts on Christmas eve saying I was signed up for it. (I get junk texts all the time and don't read them because they are junk) I never requested such a service and this is the first time I ever got one I had to opt-out of instead of opt-into.
I called ATT and they are aware of the problem and set up a free "Purchase Blocker" that requires me to enter a pin to accept any mobile charges. They also refunded my charge (they will only go back 60 days though).
