I ordered the trial sample in December 2011. It wasn't on their website and nowhere on the site did it say that I was signing up for anything. I received the trial sample for which I paid p/p. I checked my bank statement the other day to find that they had taken 2 payments of £69.95 in January alone. I didn't recognise the name so rang my bank to explained what it was and gave me a tel number - which is in America!!! although they have an office in the UK. I rang the number and explained to the lady there that I did not ask for a continued supply and that I had only asked for the trial sample. I cannot afford to lose £140 in one month as I'm a pensioner. I explained this to her and she insisted that because I had not cancelled the agreement they would not give me a refund. I have since tried to contact them and realised that they are in the states and not the UK. This is a total and utter con. I would never, ever have signed up for a full course and especially as I wasn't even aware that they were charging £69.95 per month for this product. I have written to them explaining that I wasn't aware of agreeing to anything as the area I applied for the sample did not say that I was entering into a contract. I'm really upset at this and I have tried to cancel but I'm not sure that they are actually listening. In the end if I lose £140 to get rid of these nasty people then so be it. People need warning of this.

  • Had you read the terms and conditions before you bought this sample? Thats usually the place where you find out what you are getting yourself into. Also, be careful of anything that says free trial. There are strings attached and most likely that free trial is going to cost you at the end of the term unless you cancel it. Companies do a free trial to get their products out there, but after the term is up, they either bill you the full amount of the item, or you become part of direct delivery. Go back to the website and see if they have terms and conditions. If so, read them. If it says they can bill you within a certain time, then my friend, you are out of luck. ALWAYS read the terms and conditions before you buy anything! I wish you good luck.

  • Thanks Cathy for your advice. The site that I was directed to did not have any T & Cs showing. I am usually a very careful person and don't normally go for anything like this. There was no mention whatsoever on where I was directed to - I don't think it was their site either now - about being tied into a contract of any sort. There was absolutely nothing otherwise I defo would have cancelled and never, ever have entered into any contract. They said they would cancel but I am getting my bank onto it also because when I received the first lot of pills there was nothing with them, no invoice, no delivery advice, nothing - just the bottle in the envelope.
