I have subscribed their membership on Jan 9th, 2012 in the basis of free trial. My membership number is 140550089. But contrary to their promise, they charged me $19.95 for no reason. When I complain about this charge, customer service kept holding of me with their ridiculous rhetoric, instead of refunding my money. I asked them to get me a supervisor, but they hold me long time. I filed a complaint to BBB regarding this issue.

Update: 01/20/2012

There is a pending charge of $19.95 from Experian.com on my credit card statement. I have no idea about ever ordering credit reports from Experian.com, but the company still insists that I have ordered it and refuse to give me my money back.

  • You do not have to pay for credit reports...it's a federal law that you can get the reports at NO CHARGE directly from the credit agencies: Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax. From Wikipedia: Americans are entitled to one free credit report within a 12-month period from each of the three credit bureaus, but are not entitled to receive a free credit score. The three credit bureaus run Annualcreditreport.com, where users can get their free credit reports. Credit scores are available as an add-on feature of the report for a fee. This fee is usually around $10, as the FTC regulates this charge, and the credit bureaus are not allowed to charge an exorbitant fee for their credit score.[citation needed] If the consumer disputes an item on a credit report obtained using the free system, under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the credit bureaus have 45 days to investigate, rather than 30 days for reports obtained otherwise.[16]
