In or around December of 2010 I cancelled service with a company who at that time was known as Song Placements. I'm not sure if they still call themselves Song Placements, as they were formerly known as Hitt Music Group, and now might be known as Fast Break Music (how odd that they keep changing their name). I was assured, on the phone, that my service would immediately be terminated and no more charges would be made to my American Express card, which was due to come out the following Jan of 2011. Well on October 13, 2011, 10 whole months later, a charged turned up on my American Express card for the full $200.00. My mistake was not calling my card company right after that call to make sure these people could not issue a payment to themselves, but unfortunately, I didn't do that. I totally trusted that they would handle my cancelling of service in a proper manner.

Also unfortunately, I had pushed it to the back of my mind, as I was assured I had done my part in the cancellation of service, and didn't notice that I never did receive an email from them stating my service was cancelled. They knew, full well, that my service was cancelled, or why would they have waited an extra 10 months to take the funds from my account, which, if I had continued my association with them, it would have been taken in January of 2011, not October of 2011!!! I have since read from others who have done business with this company that they too have experienced the same deception, with exactly the same complaint about money being taken from their accounts that were completely unauthorized.

I feel violated and defeated in my attempt to have the money credited back to my American Express account. American Express said there is nothing they could do. and, of course, the company, Song Placements, never answers their phone, and if they do, its a message machine, and you never get a call back!
