i recently purchased xmas gifts and gave information to pay on my credit card (discover) the information was put in and i assumed that the payment went through until i received my statement from discover card and then i received a bill and a credit card from amazon which i never applied for. today i called with an attempt to pay again explaining i did not ask for credit they claimed they could not put it through my card the number would not go through i called discover there is no problem i have sufficient amount left on my card to pay this. i feeel this is wrong i refuse to pay amazon credit card at 23%

  • Amazon can't just magically sign you up for a credit card. You clearly applied for the card during checkout, and when you do that, it's automatically used for the order. Perhaps next time we should read what we're doing when placing an order.

    Once an order has been shipped (i.e. you've been charged), they also have no way of charging a different credit card. The only way to do that is to return the item, receive a refund, and then place a new order using your Discover card.
