Unauthorized charge on my credit card likely associated with purchasing a book via Newsmax. Given the number of people with the same problem, I guess this is a cleverly worded scam. I intend to call the company. Will post back results

- I emailed Newsmax and they credited my account the $49. I caution people signing on for free deals as they usually include a free trial to their many newsletters. Once the free trial nears expiration, you will get an email that looks like a spam ad. Mine arrived a few days before Christmas. Embedded in it is a statement that you must respond to terminate the newsletter or you will automatically be charged. Technically, not a scam, but I was fooled and I feel sorry for the elderly that get sucked into this.
