I wanted to check a car history without paying $30 for one so I found this website and it said $2.95. Although I thought the information was pretty generic, only reporting two dates with mileage, I did receive the report. Then I got on the website and noticed that they had my billing information listed on there. So, reading the email I noticed it said that I could change my account information by logging in. Well, there is NO WHERE to change anything on their website. So I googled "How do I cancel my account with carvinhistory.com?" and came up with all these reports. I called my bank and notified them immediately that my card information had been compromised so that no further charges could be charged. I also called the morning of the 4th day since they were not open due to the holiday on the 2nd and 3rd day. I spoke with someone with a heavy foreign accent, said his name was Joe. I told him I was recording the conversation for my protection. He said I would receive an email from their parent company on cancelling my account. Waited 24 hours and have received nothing so I called again. When I called, they said that they couldn't change any accounts today due to technical difficulties they were having. I asked his name and he said Jon this time. Although I'm pretty sure that he said something different and way to fast for me to grasp when he answered the phone. I informed him that I would be calling EVERY day until I received a cancellation on this account and that they would not be able to bill me since I've cancelled the card associated with the account. Buyer beware!!!
