I have been reading the comments posted, and the same thing happened to me. I reviewed information for a loan, but I did not actually receive one. My bank contacted me when a suspicious $30 electronic check went through my account with check number 10000. The electronic signature was fraudulent, as the birth date was incorrect, and it had the last 4 digits of my social security number listed with it. I filed a claim and am sending the electronic image of the front and back of the check to the FBI. Websites that you can report the fraud for investigastion are: www.consumerfraudreporting.org, www.idtheftcenter.org, and www.fbi.gov/scams-safety/fraud/internet-fraud
