*I signed up for a grant listing called Resources for Americans which advertises providing grant information. Instead what I really signed up for has nothing to do with grants in ANY sense. It was a texting service that offered to provide dieting, dating, and general advice tips. Within minutes after I signed up, I got the first text msg. I called (1-855-707-0152 a number which I can not find the origin of, or company names listed to report to the BBB at all) to ask them to cancel my service, and make sure I wasn't billed. They said they wouldn't stop the billing, and the most they'd do is send me a check in the mail which would take about a month. These people go by at LEAST three names. There is one more I asked while on the phone with them that they said which was none of these I listed. All I can hope is for minimal monetary damage, and hassle as these people are certainly scammers, and I can't trust won't in fact bill me multiple times. I know better than to sign up for a texting service, but they got me good with this one.
