I ordered 2 Samsung Galaxy2 mobile phones from assuredoffer.com. After placing my order, emails were received about how reputable this company was and how much they looked forward to continuing to do business. They claimed to have had problems with paypal in the past so required Western Union money transfer to Bejing. I tried finding information about this company being a scam but could not find any reports made so I went ahead with the purchase. Attached are the series of emails sent claiming that customs firstly caused a delay in the shipment and then required an additional $260 to be paid for "tariff" charges. I refused to pay more money and asked for a refund as they did not do what they promised. They have not replied any of my emails since and I have no hope of being refunded the $660 NZD it cost to get nothing. Internet shopping lesson learned, my mission now is to prevent it from happening to others.
