I have the same thing that Jay reported.I was contacted by someone and I don't remember his name or phone number, but he told me to call 646-651-4673 to get the information started for the $7000.00 grant that I was supposed to receive after I answered some questions and so forth. I called the number and I talked with Katherine Smith, she said she was the head of the grant service and she talked and asked questions and then she told me I had to call 202-407-7177 to get the grant accepted for me. I spoke with a man who said his name was Edward Brown. He told me I had to send $125.00 to Madhu Bender in Delhi, India. The money was to feed people in a bad area. I sent the money and I called him back and told him it was sent. He said he would call me back. He called me back in a few hours and said I had to pay $389.00 to Madhu again, but I wouldn't have to worry because the amounts sent to Madhu would be added to the amount of my grant. I sent the money he told me to send and then called him and told him it was sent. He then told me I had to send $989.00 to Madhu. I didn't have any money left, so I went to my bank and asked about a loan, I told them about all that was happening and who was asking me to send the money and all the information I had. They were having me fill out paperwork and then came to me and said that I was being scammed, so of course I didn't send the $989.00, because I was already broke and haven't been able to get out of debt, yet. This started a financial nightmare for me and my wife. I sent e-mails to several senators about this, hoping some how they could catch the people and arrest them and get my money back, but nothing has happened for me.
