In April 2010 signed up for the Family Link "app" on Facebook. I paid $59.40 for what I thought was a yearly subscription of the same - $59.40. The terms of service state that I would receive notice before the renewal date. However, I never received one though I received a few of their other marketing emails.
Nonetheless, sometime in November, I deactived my Facebook account, which should have also deactived this app attached to it. On May 18, 2011, without warning, "World Vital Records" charged $99.95 to my credit card. First, I had no idea who "World Vital Records" was, so I quickly called the number provided on the statement. However, first it just rang, then I had no luck in getting through to a live person. Since I could not get through, I disputed this charge with my credit card. My credit card company received a letter stating that my "subscription has been active since" 4/18/2010, which is completely false as I have not subscribed to Facebook since November 2010. Therefore, my credit card company has re-billed by account.
I have received no benefit from Family Link since November 2010. They lied about the amount they were going to bill me and they lied about giving me notice of the renewal subscription. Whats more, they use a phone number on the credit card statement that is unreachable so that consumers miss their $15 day refund policy.
All I want is my money back. Thank you.
Update: 07/14/2011
Should read "15 day" and not "$15 day." Sorry for the typo.

- Whoops, "$15 day" should be "15 day." Did not mean to put that dollar sign in there. Thanks.
