Americ Air Control/Air Duct Cleaning

A few days ago I came accross a coupon for air duct cleaning. The coupon stated: $39.99, summer special, air duct cleaning. I made an appointment . The technician came on 07/14/2011 and, immediately, started explaining to me that the coupon is only good for the part of the duct system and not the whole system. He advised me to do the whole house, but, the cost is significant. He gave me a price for the service of $391.00. I explained to him that I do not have that kind of money available. He said:" Let me talk to my manager." He went to his truck and came back asking me what was my budget. I said, $200.00 He said, because my house is smaller, he can do it for $210.00. I gave him my permission, expecting to see results. He brought a huge hose to my house, hooked it up to my furnace and walked around my house with a smaller hose vacuuming my vents. It took him a half an hour and he was done. I can vacuum my own vents and I do it frequently. I gave him $200.00, not $210.00, like he asked. When he left, I felt like I was scamed. I want my money back!!! I paid $200.00 for him to vacuum my vents? It's just wrong. I call the company and spoke with someone ,and, also, him, directly. Even though, I was extremely unhappy, they would not refund my money. I need to see results for my money. What did I pay for? The technician said, everything was fine. How does he know? When I asked if there was a lot of dirt inside of the duct system, he said, he does not know, because, it's inside of the vacuum. I thought, I would get some information regarding the air quality of my house. I guess I was wrong. The whole experience left me stressed out and unhappy.
I hope there are consequences for poor performance. I don't know a lot about duct cleaning and I, beleive,because of that, I was taken for a ride.
