i purchased 2 roundtrip airfair to P.R. leaving Thanksgiving day,returning mon.the 28th. for a business trip.i had to style a bride for her wedding day that weekend.the agent attending me on Oct.10(day of ticket purchase)looked at a calendar and saw that the return date was mon.the 28th.upon booking my airfaire she verbally said to me im leaving on thanksgiving day,returning mon.the 28th and that no need to confirm that she already did so.i confided she sold me what i paid for.the transaction was paid in cash a total sum of 550.00.on thanksgiving day i arrived at KENNEDY airport and to my dismay was informed i could not board the flight scheduled because my vouchers were expired over a month and a half ago.that would have meant i was to travel 2 wks.after making my purchase.it never occurred to me to check my itinerary,because i confided.while everyone is buying tickets online these days i was not comfortable doing this and thought i was secure going to a business.needless to say i had to buy 2 last minute airfare that totalled 1,100.oo in order to make my trip so as to not breach a contract between the bride and myself.upon returning ,i went personally to Ruiz Travel to see if we can resolve the matter of returning the original monies i paid without getting the court involved and Miss IRMA,indicated that she will not be re-imbursing me for lost monies.the bride i styled mentioned in conversation while in P.R.as i am styling her on her wedding day had mentioned,she called the exact same agency to see if they had any more flights available for thanksgiving weekend and MissIrma said to her she remembers me.that i am the lady she sold the tickets for thanksgiving weekend to.i feel ripped off,i tried speaking to her in an amicable manner to find a resolution.i am willing to accept a credit on a future flight for 2,but to no avail.please HELP ME HOWARD,i work very hard and my husband and i both were financially burdened over this due to having to take an extra 4 days off just to get a return flight that was reasonably priced.
