I was applying for Pay Day Loans online the previous day 11/16/11 with really no luck or promising responses. My Checking Account was almost depleted on that day, then on the morning of 11/17/11 when I did my daily routine of checking the balance of my Checking Account I discovered my Account was negative due to Lend Net 101 placing 4 separate charges on 11/17/11 to my Account of $0.01, 0.01, 0.01 and 0.02, of which I was charged $34.00 for each bounce. Since it was such a minor amount totaling $0.05 I wasn't alarmed and just figured it was a loan company pinging my Checking Account to verify it was an Active Account, but then when I checked my Account balance at the end of the day on 11/25/11 I discovered that Lend Net 101 had placed another charge for $30.00 to my Checking Account. I immediately called my Bank to report an Unauthorized Charge to my Account and they informed me to call the Merchant first to have the charge removed and then call back if they refused to report Fraud. I called Lend Net 101, verified they had made the charge for their reason of, "We are processing a loan for you and this is the set up fee" and when I informed them that I did NOT give any such Authorization for such a fee and further asked, "How much is the loan going to be for?" I was told, "We have not figured out how much the loan is for yet, but as soon as it is determined we will call you." I replied, "I don't think so. How can you justify taking a $30.00 Fee out of my Account for a loan being processed that you don't even know what the amount of the loan is? Please immediately put through a full Refund of the $30.00 back into my Account and cancel any request you may have for a loan for me as I do NOT want to do business with a company that is shady like your company." I was told that they would cancel my request for a loan and refund the $30.00 back to my Account and that it would 2-3 business days for the refund to be processed by my Bank. When I was NOT offered any kind of Confirmation or Refund # verifying the Refund being promised I asked by person on the phone for a Confirmation # to identify the Refund being promised via phone at that time. The person on the phone said, "No, I do NOT have a Confirmation #, but you can use my name, Don Ross, and Employee Number, 443, as verification of the Refund. At that point I was satisfied until it became 11/29/11 and still no Refund to my Account, so I went online and did a search for Lendnet.com and your Blog regarding a scam was the first listing that came up and now I am filing a report with your company and will be calling my Bank today to report Fraud.
