I used a web site called http://www.ghdhair4u.com to purchase a pair of GHD hair straighteners for a Christmas present for my daughter.
The transaction was handled by the so called “YoursPay” (China?) secure website. I received what appeared to be legitimate emails confirming the transaction from “YoursPay” and GHDHair4U .com.
In one of the e-mails I received it stated that the Temi Trading Company” would appear on my statement.
Even a DHL tracking reference was supplied.
As the originating country for the DHL track was Hong Kong I became suspicious of the company and the authenticity of the item I purchased. After a phone call to GHD in the UK it became apparent that my order was with a company trading in counterfeit GHD hair straighteners. There is a lot of information stating that GHDHair4U website was not a genuine authorised GHD distributor.
I tried to cancel the order by e-mail but received no response from GHDHair4U.
After following the DHL tracking information to my door step I received a damaged box with the hair straighteners.
The GHD hair straighteners received were very good copies even down to hologram identity labels on the plug electrical cable.
I rang GHD Hair in the UK to check the “Date Code” and the Identification code on the hologram (as instructed in the fake handbook and documentation).
GHD Hair UK stated that the code numbers I gave them have bee duplicated many times and these items are counterfeit.
I have tried to contact Temi Trading and GHDHair4U.com by e-mail but have not received a response.
I am trying to contact “YoursPay”. The telephone number listed on the “YoursPay” web site has a Country Code of China but when you ring this number a “No Line tone” is received.
As Temi Trading now have my account details I am concerned that Temi Trading could obtain more money from my Bank account. I am in the process of changing my account details.
