I ordered a drill for $19.99 over the phone and was repeatedly offered additional deals from accessories to magazines for roughly 1/2 hour (never did I speak with a human). I hung up and the next day I noticed my account was charged for $127.55. My bank said I would need a police report as the amount of the fraud was in excess of $100. I called GPM and they said I had ordered six drills. The reduced the charges $79.85 and blatantly said it would be some time before I received the balance. I returned the drills when received and began a dispute procedure with my bank. This meant I could no longer use my debit card and would have to request another. I was charged for overdrafts on my account. I found out yesterday that the bank claims it's a matter between GPM and me. It is obvious what GPM is doing and the fact they can get away with is an embarrassment to consumer rights. Further, it represents another case of banks and corporations ripping people off.
