i went online to find a loan if possible as i know i have very bad credit. i clicked on company (which was NOT the one i'm complaining about). it would appear that i was re-routed to a broker firm which i now know is EPM myloans or Power-loans.com. they asked for my details and said they'd find suitable lenders. as far as i was aware this service was free as i read nowhere about any payment required. their selling point was that no credit check was necessary. it transpired that i was declined for loan of £200 and i pretty much was unsurprised by this. i thought it was a wasted exercise but thought nothing more of it. then, on day stated above i was embarrassed to discover that my card was rejected in tescos for lack of funds! EPM Myloans had withdrew £67.59 from my account. i contacted bank but was told to contact the loan company. i did this and was told someone call me back. that never happened. i re-contacted them with the same result. i complained through email but received what seemed like a routine response which did not answer my complaint at all. a few days later another £2 or so was taken out of my account. i've since read many complaints about this company online. EPM have NO website accessible to public. any attempt to contact them results in re-routing to a site displaying "Can You Trust Them". this site invites you to sign up to lodge complaint but although you put your name and email address no access to the site is given. it simply tells you to activate account by visiting the email they sent to your address. this email never arrives. i am on training and have to survive on £67 per week so they took a weeks money. i clearly would NEVER agree to pay that money just to be given a list of loan companies which i already believed would decline me. furthermore, why would i agree to pay £70 to secure only a £200 loan? do i have a realistic chance at getting my money back? i have discovered the address for the company and am tempted to go there to see what can be done but i would hate for my temper to get the better of me. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
