Allstar Concrete of Ridgway provided very poor workmanship and then disappeared.

Reuben Simpson, owner of All Star Concrete, failed to honor the commitments outlined in his Job Proposal to remove and replace the driveway and walkway at our home. Also, his workmanship has proven to be clearly substandard.

The unfulfilled commitments include: installation of control or expansion joints, failure to seal the stamped brick portions of the driveway and walkway and removal of all debris, which includes a large stump.

Inferior workmanship includes: sections of the walkway where the stamping is dramatically misaligned and a second section where the coloring agent did not take, leaving the brick stamp streaked and with minimum red pigment. Red pigment from the brick stamping was also inappropriately spread over several sections of the driveway. Five weeks after the driveway was completed - five 12 inch cracks developed in the stamped brick sections that may not have occurred if this area had been sealed as promised. In addition, a 15 foot crack developed in the lower section of the driveway, exactly where an expansion joint should have been. If this expansion joint had been in place it is highly likely that the crack would have been prevented.

Mr. Simpson originally agreed to fix all problems as soon as possible. He After several calls, he refused to answer or return our calls. I have taken him to Magistrate's Court but fear I will never collect damages to have the driveway done properly.
