On 8/10/11 My husband Eito Vulamov ordered engine for 2001Kia Rio 1.5L 4 cyl. from KHS Dismantling and Repair over the phone. I paid $1023.86 cash for the engine on 8/10/2011 I got a receipt with customer number: 9165095305. Several days later the company delivered the engine to the mechanic shop but didn't give them the engine. Mechanic Vladimir called me saying that the companie's representative said that I didn't pay for the engine and thats why they took it back. I then called the company saying that I did pay for the engine and gave them customer number:9165095305 they said that they are going to deliver the engine again. They delivered engine two days later. When my mechanic installed the engine in my vehicle 2001Kia Rio he found that the engine was leaking oil from oil pan and knocking due to one of the cylenders was damaged. The mechanic contacted me and let me know that the engine was no good and that I needed to find another engine because that one was not fixable. Since then I was saving money to buy another engine I didn't want to use the same company because of all the trouble I had with their irrisponsible staff. I found another engine from the company that offered 6months warranty or money back and was very honest and efficient and their engine is working fine till this day. On friday 9/23/11 When mechanic installed the new engine and took the defective one out I went to the KHS Dismantling and Repair to get a refund for the defective engine they sold me. They representative told me that they need to see the engine I told them that the engine was always at the mechanic. The representative said that they going to send someone there to check it. I never heard from them. When I contacted the company by phone on wednesday 9/28/11 they told me that they did go over to the mechanic and saw that the engine is there now I need to bring the engine to them so they can diagnose it. I asked them when will I get my money back. He started being very irritated saying that I waited too long and that I'm playing some kind of game with them that my voice is being recorded and hang up. Finaly after many calls and demands KHS Dismantling and Repairs refunded me $737.90 on 10/25/2011 but still kept $285.96 from the amount that I paid them. I don't believe KHS is entitled to $285.96 that they withheld because it was entirely their mistake that I don't want to pay for. Because they sold me a defective product I had to pay more in damages to my mechanic for the job he had to do.
