My story is similar to the one I just read on your website. Two young women were on my street when I was walking my dog, and I passed them once, then saw them again at the house next to mine. They were very pleasant, patted my dogs, and walked with me to my house, explaining that they were college girls, from other parts of the country, traveling around with this company selling magazines. They were trying to make the most sales to win a trip, and sales would benefit military personnel too. Though I said I probably wouldn't buy anything, I looked at their folders and talked with them, and finally, because they were so nice and I wanted to help them, I bought a book (which I didn't really want anyway!). When the book never arrived, I wasn't too suprised, as I had thought about it and belatedly didn't trust the situation. I wondered if the girls selling the magazines were being scammed in some way as well.
