Avante called to collect a debt. They said they had bought the account from our creditor. We offered to call our creditor and Avante said: "It wouldn't do any good and that they would no longer have a record". They offered to accept a lesser amount to end the collection. We paid that amount. Later we received a bill from the company that we still owed a balance? We called that company and they told us that they have never used Avante or there services and furthermore we were in good standing and they had never turned our account over to any collection agency ever! So we hd to end up paying the full amount to them. We don't know how Anante even got our information about our account? This is fraud anyway you look at it and now we are out the 80 bucks.
