Called with false authorization from my supervisor to close out accout with them & pay outstanding balance owed for last 12 months of service. Kept saying all they needed to do was give me a account closure authorization number in order to get the cancellation paper work processed before next billing cycle started, that if they couldn't give the auth # to me today, by tomorrow the new billing cycle would start & we'd owe another $599.99 for the next 12 months of service. The more questions I asked about who exactly authorized this, the pushier he became. I could not get the manager of our bussiness on the other phone line right away to question him so I went ahead & let them give me the cancellation auth # - they had to transfer me first to another dept to do so & when I got throught the spill with the new guy he told me they could take $100.00 off our outstanding balance if I paid with a credit card today.
