I was fooled by a sales lady at Yelp to agree to try advertising in Yelp for a couple of months, or so, and the maximum it might cost me is about $200 to $300 a month. In about 3 weeks, i was billed for $525, and when i asked Yelp why that much, they said my ads had some views. It turned out that they charged me about $4 for every person that viewed my ad, anywhere in the country. I own a local small town business, and it does not help me in any way if my ads are seen all across the country, when i have to pay for it.
I immediately requested to cancel my ads, and remove my advertising and listing. However, they still billed me about $1,500. Advertising with Yelp is a waste of money, and they are masters in stealing peoples hard earned money.
