I found a pair of shoes at the site called SHOES & BOOTS...the name I entered above is the actual web address when I went to the site. They are obviously passing themselves off as being in the UK, but I was tired and so happy to have found the shoes, at a good price no less, and since they are made in Germany I thought a UK site was plausible. After trying to enter my credit card info several times and being told it was declined, I tried another card. In the end I got very suspicious. The site said something about my charging over $500. The cost of the shoes was $102.92. Bank of America sent me a scam alert almost immediately and I called them and they shut down the card and are issuing me a new number. I did the same with Chase although Chase was willing to wait til a fraudulent charge appeared on my account and that I should then dispute it. I told them to change my card number immediately instead. I am very angry at this website and found that they have many websites ... all bogus. Some in Australia too. I would like to see GOOGLE shut them down and prosecute to whatever extent the law may allow. So far I have not lost any money but who knows what they will do with my credit info.? Fortunately, I was able to be on top of it and got the banks to shut down the two account numbers immediately but I am sure many have not been so fortunate. This is an outrage but I am partially to blame for being so careless because I so WANTED the shoes!
