Received a call from number 1-954-637-6351, telling that I had problems with my credit. The person speak in spanish with a mexican accent. She introduced herself as Alicia Alexandra, from Past Program company, and even gave me 2 additional phone numbers to get more information: 1-866-345-1023 and 1-866-344-0415. Checked these numbers and are for Puerto Rico area use. She said this company has a contract with the three Credit Report companies as Financial Analysts to help people solve credit problems that show in the customers records.
When I said I have no problem with my credit, she said that not necessarily this means late payments or losses. Supposedly I have obsolete accounts that affects my empirica score. I told her I worked for a bank for many years, filling taxes for more years and never heard about this; always the credit report companies contact directly the customer by mail. She said this is new. I kept questioning and asking for more details and she kept answering calmly. She asked for the last time I asked for my report with Equifax and explain she will open my Equifax record and will be checking with me all the information to correct, change or eliminate details.
When I said I will not give my information if I am not the one that started the contact, she ended the conversation.
