When I signed up to vote in my area I immediately received a call from Edison Publishing stating that they were to send me a $100 gift card for registering to vote. I agreed and gave them my address, and stupidly agreed to receive magazines for $25 a month. As it turns out that also signed me up for 5 years, last 3 years receiving magazines that I paid for the first 2 years. This company has called me 4 times since then, (which was 2 months ago), relating to any damages the magazines have shown, or verifying my address. The last time they called me they talked in a circle and ending up doubling my charges for the next few months to "save me in the long run". Why do I feel like being scammed you wonder? I've also tried to cancel my account every time they call me and they always refuse to. What can I do?
