There was an ad on craigslist for an administrative position. After e-mailing my resume they contacted me and had me fill out a questionnaire and then proceeded to 'hire' me. I then received a check for $3000.00 and was told to cash it, make a balance sheet and cash flow statement and then pay for materials. The check was fake and I called the phone number and it was not a company or a legitimate individual. Fortunately I did not continue the process and did not lose any money but it was a long process and waste of time that could cost others monetary damages.
