I was called this morning and told my computer was compromised and ready to crash. The technician took over my computer to show me the problem and I don't know what he was showing me, however, he scared me into believing that I had hackers.
My gut told me that this was not right, however, once they took over the computer, I felt like I had committed myself to their service. Do not do what I did. Follow your instincts! The technician was pushy and yet polite. After an hour, I asked to have my money refunded. I am hoping they will do what they said and cancel the credit card charge.
This company is a scam. Do not deal with them. I was stupid to let them take me as far down the road as I did. I pray they do not use my credit card numbers. I plan to check everyday and I have alerted the credit card company. I also wonder what they were looking for in my computer? Shut the computer down and don't give them your credit card numbers.
