I received a call today from an unknown number claiming to be ASS Collections Agency acting as a third party agency representing Insight Capital. ASS claimed I took out a loan in 2013 and failed to repay the loan. I was provided no paperwork nor have I ever taken out any type of loan with Insight Capital. I have never even heard of them until today. I was asked to pay off the balance or face court charges. I told them I was not paying for anything I did not owe and that I never took out any loan. I asked for account numbers and information related to this and was not provided anything. Concerning part is that they had my address and the last four of my social. I immediately froze my credit and enrolled in identity theft protection. Straight scam operation!! They tried to get me to pay them over the phone to avoid court charges??
