I, like several others I have now read about, received an online survey and notification I could receive a reward for completion of my choice of a number of items. I chose the jewelry for $5.99 shipping and handling.

There was no notification of terms or conditions exceeding the shipping and handling. A week or two later the item arrives and my checking account is hit for $100. I believes this was a lesson to me and bit my tongue and said my fault to myself. A month later, mid-to-end of September, another item arrives with no return address or invoice within. A few days later my checking account is hit again.

I dig up the phone number for Patrino Jewels (since it lists it on the charge to my account) and call them. They cancel my 'subscription' (which I never asked for nor was notified of) and email me a few days later to inform me I had to have seen the notifications on their site (which I had never gone to).

I've informed them I will be taking this to the Better Business Bureau and I will be talking to my lawyer this week to see what can be done about this scam company.
