On April 20, 2013 I took my husband to the Sunrise Hospital Emergency Room...Las Vegas, NV. Details for this visit aren't necessary but he was there for 3 days...not ADMITTED! All necessary information regarding insurance, drivers license, date of birth were confirmed. Months later I received a bill from a collection agency saying the amount I owed, plus fees and charges. I immediately called and asked the reason and they said that they had mailed a bill with no response. I asked what address they used and it was incorrect, the unit number was missing. And then I asked why this bill had not been submitted to our insurance...again they hadn't used the correct address and it was returned. So I called the insurance and by that time they HAD mailed the bill to them and the bill HAD been paid, July 2013! I also called BCBSM and asked them to call Fremont Emergency Services and confirm that everything had been taken care of which they did. I sent this company a letter, August 16, 2013 letting them know how upsetting this was on top of the fact that my husband had passed away and the least I asked for was an apology. None ever came!

Now fast forward to January 2015 and I noticed on the Discover statement that my FICO score had dropped to 676 from 800. I called and inquired why and the information was that I hadn't paid this bill to Fremont Emergency Services. So began several phone calls trying to get this straightened out. I was told to send a letter stating that this matter had been settled a long time ago and that I needed to have my account, including the account number, removed from patient credit collections-collectives promptly. This I did February 3, 2015
I called again February 17,2015 because again the FICO score was 676 and on MY credit card the score was lowered to 794 from 800, again related to this 2 year old problem that had been SETTLED. I called March 2, 2015 to check on the progress and Vonnie said she would send an email and put RUSH on it. I called again on March 24, 2015 and was told by Vonnie that this matter would be taken care of in 30 days. Also she said that I would receive a confirmation letter advising this account has been removed.

So, unless this matter is closed by May 1, 2015 I do intend to take legal action. I have checked the BBB site and there are 3 similar complaints against this company.
