I downloaded and purchased a copy of the AdAware Anti-virus program. There were problems with the download so I went to their website for customer service. I ended up at SolidTech and they sold me a package promising that I would get life-time tech support for any computer I personally owned as well as life-time AdaWare software. They supposedly optimized my computer and now I am being told that I am going to be charged a $ 24.00/month recurring charge. I have not been able to get a supervisor on the phone, and feel like I have been had. I have not tried to add or uninstall any programs on my computer so far; I am hoping for the best.
