I need to reveal mask from a Visakhapatnam based company (Animonks.com) and it’s management. I have also read a post on south Indian community about this company’s fraud activity (http://community.blrstartups.com/d/25319/). So I want to shed some more light on it with proof.

We have found this company (Animonks Animation Pvt. Ltd.) through google, so we contacted them for an Animated Introductory Video for our organization (we can’t reveal name). Our first communication was with Mr. Praveen Kumar that was quite impressive. After exchanging few emails and watching sample video (sent by them in last week of July), we assigned our project to them and paid 25K in Indian Rupee as initial payment.

After this, we didn’t get any reply for almost two months (i.e august and September). During this period, I have tried to contact them many times through mail and on personal contact number (+91-9000493196) given by Mr. Praveen Kumar. But the number was not reachable most of the time. So we contacted them trough number present on their website (+91-8106236767), the call has been picked by someone who told me that this number does not belongs to animonks and he is working for animonks as a freelancer. This is very ridiculous that the phone number which they mentioned on their website is not even belongs to them or their company. If that person was lying then how come its number is present on their website or if that person is telling truth then definitely company is fraud which can’t even reveal their own contact number.

Then suddenly in the first week of October, they sent us an email (from [email protected]) to review a storyline of our video. Our team reviewed that storyline and replies them with some corrections. Then again we didn’t get any reply from them for around 20 days. So I tried to add him on Skype and send them one more mail on 30th October.

Again, when we contacted them on 4th Nov.2014 through animonks.com contact page, we got reply on very next day i.e. on 5th Nov. 2014 that they were affected by cyclone and their network connectivity was lost, and need some more time to recover and start working again on our project.

As their issue was genuine, we gave them some more time for our project. Next day they setup our account on Basecamp (https://basecamp.com/2683961/projects/6691200) which is an online project management tool.

Again after one week on 13th November, we contacted them again (through Basecamp) and enquire about the progress with our video.

Their comment came on 14th November that they are completing their projects one by one.

After that we continuously comment in 17th, 21st and 28th of November on Basecamp, but they didn’t reply even they paused our account on Basecamp.

On 8th December, we contacted through both mail ([email protected]) and website contact page, but similarly they didn’t reply.

Before posting here we again tried calling them on 8th January from alternate number, but receiver disconnected the call as soon as we told that we are calling from __________ (our organization name).
