I have received letter to verify information from Singapore Company Register on 8 Nov 2013. It stated my contact email has not been verified. I was given username and password to log in. I thought it is from ACCRA so no harm to update email details because my company details are already in the website. To my shock I receive invoice on 13 Jan 2014 asking for payment of $490 for registering and subscribing to the service. I complained to ACCRA but they can't so anything though they also receive similar complaints. I reply to their email to delete our company records if not we will lodge police report. It is a scam which tricked you to log in with given user name and password then after that bill you $490. Initially the payment is not stated on the main page of their website in 2013 to early 2014, then after my email to them that they are scam as they did not indicate the price on the main website, they indicate it on main website. They have become smarter. I have just receive an invoice chasing payment from them. Apparently, they have not complied and delete my company info. It looks like you include all the companies info in Singapore and those who fall in the trap to log in with password will get invoice to pay. I know someone who receive same letter and she did not log in. The letter states if missing info of email is not verify in the database, the company info. will be deleted within a week from letter. About one year later, my friend's company info still there in the database even though she did not get chased for payment just she did not log in. They feed on the fear of people to quickly log in so as not to have company info. deleted from the Singapore. In the process, they will not read too carefully and think too much, as a result fall into the trap.
