I signed up for a website which clearly explained that membership was free, but since it was an adult restricted area it asked for my credit card number, expiration date and 3-digit code (along with my e-mail address) to verify my age and I foolishly gave them the numbers. The first time I gave them my number, I accidentally gave them the wrong expiration date and had to sign up again, this time with the correct number.

I never actually got to the content at all - when I tried to sign in I just got an error message. I checked my e-mail and I got a couple of e-mails from TabPayer.com and SendCCPay.com saying that they would charge $49.98 (Almost $100 total) to my credit card MONTHLY if I did not cancel my account with them after the trial period is over. $100 a month for no content? No thanks. The e-mails were nice enough to provide me a link to unsubscribe and I did so... but it was incredibly difficult to do, but I managed (and both websites had the same design... the heck?). Why they provided a link to unsubscribing, I don't know... until I decided to come here and look up TabPayer. Apparently there's a $50 fee for unsubscribing, and I had to unsubscribe twice. No wonder - there goes $100 either way, there was really no way out of this.

This morning I checked my bank account - everything was still there - but I called my bank anyway. They said they had to put my account on freeze because of a suspicious charge of $49.98 + $1.25 (handling fee of some sorts) to my account by "NASA", but that did not go through because I gave the wrong expiration date. Unfortunately I lost $100 because the two charges which I gave the correct expiration date for went through, but thankfully, they never actually applied the $100 fee for unsubscribing. To be safe, I canceled my credit card and am waiting for the new one.

I want to alert everyone that TabPayer.com and SendCCPay.com are NOT worth dealing with at all, unless you'd like to lose money!
